Special Processing Stages

1. Salting by a G-d-fearing Avreich (for stringency) – to ensure purity and perfect kashrut.

2. Soaking the leather in water before liming – an ancient and careful process that preserves the natural quality of the leather.

3. Double processing – to ensure durability and strength for many years.

4. Rubbing and hand dyeing – not by machine, but by hands faithful to its purpose, for the holiness of Tefillin.

5. Top leather, cutting for its purpose – from the finest quality leather, cut and checked especially for the Mitzvah of Tefillin.
